If you want AS3X and SAFE to work with your Spektrum Gen 1 transmitter, you'll need one of these.
The AR636B is the same rx as an AR636A or just plain AR636. While they all carry slightly different naming, they are in all practical purposes, the same rx. This rx is unique in the Spektrum line as they can be programmed to work with Gen 1 Spektrum transmitters. This allows you to get AS3X and SAFE functions. These are the only rx that do this. By accessing these functions, you can avoid shelling out hundreds of dollars for newer transmitters that have Forward Programming available in the transmitter's menu. Unfortunately, programming the functions requires a PC and is not available for Mac users. It is supposedly possible to program on a cellphone but I find that to be impossible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
