Do the bad bits outweigh the good?
I bought a SEBO about 15 years ago and it's been great. This one has some features that are better, and one that is much worse. Even when the handle is upright (while using the tools for instance), the roller brush still keeps whizzing round. The manual tells you this will happen and warns you not to leave it where it could damage the flooring.! This is a huge minus point! On the other hand, the automatic height adjustment for carpets is good, and it works. But the manual points out that this is a 'carpet' sweeper; it is not designed for parquet flooring (for which you can pay extra and get a clip-on adapter) and you should test it on lino, etc. in an out of the way place to see if the spinning brush will damage the surface! Another good point is use of the extending hose; by use of the second 'handle' it just unplugs from the side of the dust bag body (the act of putting it back is a bit imprecise!). However, the extending hose will pull over the vacuum if you don't hold it upright in your other hand (while the brush is still spinning!). In the earlier SEBO the brush was driven by a separate motor and would switch off as soon as the extending hose was in use. I'm not sending it back as it is still a SEBO and hopefully will be very reliable, despite being more difficult to use.
