This purchase for my 1st UVC unit from Fluval, was a game changer. I have a 60G freshwater Amazon planted tank with 5 Discus. I run a pair of Fluval 306 filter pumps and was just having a difficult time of getting the water to clear. I use a spray bar on each output, and the amount of particulates this would stir up was just not acceptable. I ordered 1 unit to see if it was going to make a noticeable difference. Well, it did, but now I needed another because I have two filters pumping on this tank. I have both set up, after about an hour the tank was clear, without the nasty bacteria floating about.
