A great accessory to use with your Leatherman bitd
This is not a 3rd person mod for a Leatherman EDC (Every Day Carry) tool but rather an official accessory made by and marketed by Leatherman. If you have a Leatherman (I carry a Surge with me at all times) and one of their Bit Kits then you really need this ratcheting extension. My bit kit came with the standard bit extension (I ordered it as a set here on Ebay) but this is worth purchasing seperatly and using instead. It will ratchet in either direction as well as lock into place for use like a standard bit extender. So far very good!
So I've seem some You Tube destruction tests on this item but also noticed that the actual Leatherman holding part will break before this ratcheting bit holder will break. Somewhere around 35 lbs of torque will break the actual part that holds this ratcheting bit holder long before the ratcheting device. So I will be not to use this as an actual socket wrench but it's really not intended to be used as one!!! So all beware it's only for small jobs not big ones!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

If you use the screwdriver function of your Leatherman tool a this is a must have
If you use your screwdriver bits a lot this is a wrist saver and a time saver and a must have. This ratcheting bit driver will remove or tighten most screws and if it doesn't you probably need a screwdriver anyway. Anyway this meets my needs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A Must Have Leatherman Multi-Tool Accessory
I've always found the bit drivers on my Leatherman Skeletool and Wave multitools to be awkward and tedious because of having to take the bit off of the screw/nut/bolt I'm loosening or tightening after every rotation, turn it back, and then reinsert it (which is kind of a pain, especially on flat head screws.) Or, fumble with getting a new grip on the tool itself which is challenging because its shape, and because the bit driver is off center. The ratchet driver fixes all of that. Now that I have this amazing accessory, I won't have to dread using the bit driver, even on those pesky flat head screws. Hallelujah!
