NotesIn August 2010 the world was gripped by the unfolding drama of 33 Chilean Miners trapped deep underground in the Atacama Desert, after tons of rock collapsed in the San Jose gold and copper mine. 17 days later, as hope was fading, food and drink were running out and some of the men were preparing to die, a drill finally reached them. It was to be a further 7 weeks before they were rescued one by one, in October, hauled to the surface through deep rock in a specially made capsule called "The Phoenix". The world watched, spellbound. This extraordinary story of triumph over adversity is the inspiration for "Atacama" by Incantation.
