I enjoy 70s/80s crime series like The Professionals and Bergerac, and also very much enjoyed this spoof on the genre, which in a strange way is also a homage to it. From the reviews, I expected to be underwhelmed by Mindhorn, but the action moves along nicely for the whole stated 87 minutes, and has plenty of funny moments that made me blurt out my pleasure audibly while watching it on my own. Julian Barratt makes a more plausible Richard Thorncroft than Thorncroft does Mindhorn, and I especially enjoyed Simon Farnaby’s Dutch(?) ‘shtunt man’ – I came away talking in a faux-Dutch accent. Can’t wait for Episode 2!

The actors did a good job, we enjoyed the guest appearances by well-known faces, the director kept things moving and if the plot was wildly far-fetched at times, it didn't matter.
