The continuation and conclusion of the popular FARSCAPE series, broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel from 1999 to 2004, THE PEACEKEEPER WARS picks up where the series left off. John Crighton and Aeryn Sun have decided to marry, but are immediately blown to pieces by an alien ship at the close of the ceremony. Luckily, Rygel picks up the pieces and reassembles the couple; but now Rygel is the one carrying their child. Elsewhere, all-out war is declared between the Peacekeepers and the Scarrans, and although Crighton and Aeryn just want to get married and live happily ever after, half-breed Peacekeeper Scorpius and Scarran Emperor Staleek are still covetous of Crighton's wormhole knowledge. They hope to use it as a weapon, and as the battles rage on, Crighton becomes the determining factor of the war's outcome. If you've enjoyed the story so far...
If you're a fan of the Farscape series - and you'd hardly be here otherwise - this is something of a no-brainer. By comparison with the regular episodes, it's a bit rushed in places (but then they were trying to fit about 15 hours of ideas into a three odd hour mini-series), but well worth watching if you want to know how all the various storylines finally come to a head. Yes, a full 20+ episodes would probably have been better, but beggars - and producers working on next to no budget - can't be choosers; it's this or nothing, after all... One note of caution: you could watch Peacekeeper Wars as a stand-alone mini-series, but an awful lot of will probably be a bit baffling if you haven't seen at least some of series 1-4 first.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
