ReviewsNYC Movie Guru - Tremendously inspirational. It's more thrilling and engrossing than LIFE OF PI.
Being pre-sceptical of movies portraying real life dramas this was pleasantly and impressively good. The producers did it pretty well. Acting perfectly believable. Nearly got them looking emancipated for the end. Biggest glaring clanger for me was their first sunrise after a harrowing ditching and exhausting ordeal with the dinghy at sunset the night before and a cold night in a soggy wet dinghy, miraculously Neptune had them all fitted out in freshly washed ironed and dried clothes before sunrise . . . ! CGI were perfectly OK . . . unless you must seek perfection . . . they did their best within their budget. Worth watching. 4.5stars!
By comparison I found 'Unbroken' rather poor, unless you like sadistic violence above the lost-at-sea ordeal. Wouldn't bother watching 'Unbroken'. 2 stars
