A TRULY WONDERFUL CONCERT FOR HOME CINEMA
Having edited, encoded and created DVDs and Blurays for rock bands for over 40 years I know the effort, dilgence and care that makes a good or bad concert video. I started watching this concert on Sky but when I found out it was available in Dolby Atmos, I stopped watching. I wanted to experience it for the first time with proper atmospheric and immersive sound. It was a great move, I was not disappointed. The footage was obviously shot in 4K or above because the detail and sharpness was superb. The concert, which Fleetwood said took two years to organise and rehearse, was so well organised. The different camera angles used were excellent. I was very impressed with the detail and sharpness of the picture. The sound was a delight. Unlike dozens of concert blurays where they just repackage the same old video, but put all the crowd sounds in back speakers, this was expertly mixed. The Dolby Atmos followed the action impeccably and truly was as Immersive as being there. As well as the joy of seeing original Fleetwood Mac band members for the first time together for decades, the list of guests was incredible. BillY Gibbons, John Mayall, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Noel Gallagher, Neil Finn, Dave Gilmour , Bill Wyman, Kirk Hammett of Metallica amongst others. I watched this with my grandchildren (who were unaware of the massive legacy Peter Green has left us) and they thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I thoroughly recommend this to any home cinema fan. The Dolby atmos is outstanding. I never thought anything would match The Eagles, Hell Freezes over for immersive music surround sound but this comes mightly close. Are there any cons ( to go with all the Pros) ? Just one ... Pete Townsend. Every single artist on stage was humble and respectful that the night was all about Peter Green's songs except for ... Pete Townsend. He managed to turn his short time on stage into all about him ! The added bonus of this package was trhe double CD of the concert as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
