EBC brake discs. Made in the UK. Development goal is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC used low carbon HPSR steel, having a high coefficient of friction of 18%. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface with a 3 micron thick zinc coating is protected, the same abrades already during deceleration in the contact area of the pads. Only in this area, light surface rust can form after prolonged use. The brake discs are drilled in bird wings design as far as possible to get along with the fewest holes with excellent cleaning of the brake disc of rainwater and brake dust.
