it's rather pricey but it does an excellent job of crushing garlic and is fairly easy and quick to clean. I got it especially for my wife, who has some arthritis in her thumb and has found other garlic crushers somewhat difficult and painful to use, but not so this one. So, in balance, this represents good value. That has been my general experience with Joseph Joseph, that is, well made, innovative and useful products, though not inexpensive. By far the best garlic crusher I have ever used and fairly gentle on the hands. Cleans up well too. Was wary of the nylon handles but they are rugged and tough and u don’t squeeze as hard as the usual design. At last. I shall be putting garlic in everything. Works for ginger too.
