Our washing machine was not working correctly, it would not always start when the 'Start' button was pressed. I though this was the end of life for our washing machine. My wife figured out that if the door was slammed it had a better chance of starting, so I took off the front of the washing machine door and removed the door switch. I opened up my door switch and found it was badly worn. There was a large amount of black (carbon?) dust around the switch and this may well be a good indicator of a damaged switch. With the help of some YouTube videos I cleaned out the switch and got the washing machine working. This allowed us to use the washing machine while this switch was in transit. I noticed this switch was slightly different that the original METALFLEX ZV-446 that I removed but it fitted perfectly, and worked beautifully.Read full review

If your beko 5120 washing machine has a READY flashing light that "won't " let you start a program then change the interlock, this is because simply the machine doesn't know that the door is closed !
