Read the Instructions
Well made items and good instructions BUT READ THEM unlike me. The most important bit is the pressing LINK button on router connected extender for 15/20 seconds then 1/3 seconds on the router connected to the other part of the house or to whatever it is connected to. Do this and hey presto it all works fine. Can pick up wifi all round the house and Sky via Q works a treat in the kitchen and rest of the house.
