Mix amp makes all the difference
I had the OG Astro a40’s for my 360 and loved them. Recently got back into gaming on the Xbox one. The kit I originally bought came with the m80 mix amp (the one that plugs into the controller) it had great sound quality, but was only Stereo sound so I found I was often looking behind a just to realize it was a teammate standing next to me. If you play any FPS you need the MixAmp pro TR. now I can tell exactly where a shot came from, a step was taken etc. no more looking around to find them, you can hear EXACTLY where they are. Makes your game awareness and immersive experience much richer. It’s something that can be hard to explain. But once you play with it, you will feel like a fish out of water without it. Broken headset
Was shipped to my home very next day with a broken headset that makes heavy static noises when plugging into the mixamp and straight into controller. Old A10's that I had before that these were supposed to replace does not do it with the same cable. Broken headset, obviously was not tested. Recieved the item in 3 days, extremely fast. Best headphones sound/quality wise ive ever experienced. The only issue is these things said used and they sure meant it. While they arent destroyed or anything there are consistent marks on them and the white of the headphones in certain areas are yellowing. Mixamp volume nobs dont light up either like they are supposed too. I clean both items as best as i could which did help some. I can definitely look past the cosmetic part of it, just stating a fact. Very comfortable and great quality
I have been buying gaming headsets since online gaming became available. This set is by far the best sounding one so far. I have used many different sets from Turtle Beach and Sade's over the years, but this one is the most comfortable too. The included mix amp gives you full control over your chat mixer and makes it easy to control excessive chatter in game. As far as I am concerned, this will be my last headset until it wears out. Great product. I had a little bit of trouble getting it setup for the first time. Great headset for the money if you can turn a blind eye to the cosmetic damage

Disappointed

busted my right speaker for this same exact headset. Happy I found this because I didnt want to buy another one, just the headset. Works great, arrived sooner than I thought, and good condition for used headset.
