Don't ignore older D2S models - in foggy Britain the less blue hue gives much better vision
As a replacement for an original part, this has enhanced the performance of the headlights in a way that I didn't expect, without resulting in hostile glare to oncoming drivers that one sometimes sees with cheaper bulbs with higher lumen counts and colour temperatures. It may not be the newest model in the range, but compared to 12-15 year old D2S bulbs fitted as standard that have faded dramatically in the past year, the increased brightness projected on normal roads benefits forward vision while retaining the slightly yellower hue of earlier HID bulbs that penetrates foggy skies better than the whiter lights popular more recently.
