great shave, particularly when used with brushless shaving cream
The "linear" motor of this and other Panasonic shavers, runs at a high speed and "zings" through your beard. It is effective with Williams LectricShave. However, I prefer to use it "wet" with a brushless shaving cream. The two best brands are Proraso and Palmolive, both available on eBay. I get as fine a shave with the Panasonic and a brushless cream as I do with a blade razor and my face never feels "skinned" as it does when I use a blade.
The cutting blades and the foil will dull over time. Replacements are available through Factory Outlet and on eBay. However, on several occasions, I've been able to buy a new shaver on eBay for the price of the replacement cutters and foil.
The LT41-K model has a small lever which will "lock" the on/off switch and prevent the shaver from being turned on accidentally. There is another Panasonic shaver, No. 8103, which is otherwise identical save it does not have this feature. I didn't think this feature was needed until my No. 8103 model was twice turned on by accident in my luggage because the switch was somehow pressed. On the first occasion, the shaver was in my carry-on and TSA made my open the bag and turn off the shaver. On the second occasion, the shaver was in checked luggage. When I opened the bag at my destination, the battery had been discharged for so long that it was ruined. Since those occasions, I only buy the LT41-K model with the lever which locks the on/off switch.
