No more blocked loo ... got this after trying various other methods to clear the block and having seen a video on youtube of this thing in action. It made sense to me to use the weight of water to clear the blockage rather than air under pressure as other gadgets do. I had a loo that was blocked behind the loo in a short horizontal section of 4" plastic pipe that joins the soil pipe. I suspect the water saver bag in the cistern might have reduced the flush too much. Typically the water level was coming up too far after flushing and going down very slowly afterwards, so probably a partial block. I was certain that nothing silly had been put down the loo that could block again further down so was willing to try this. So I put the plunger in the loo and push it down as far as I sensibly could. I flush the loo, with towels at the ready, and pump the plunger firmly until all the water went down. Hmm .. that seemed too easy methinks, so I did it again. I took the plunger out, allowed it to drain, popped it into a waiting bucket then flushed the loo again and hey presto it had worked. Brilliant! No drama, no water on the floor, no mess, just a working loo. Job done. The plunger comes with instructions and is easy to clean as described in the instructions. The handle unscrews to make it easier to store. No plumber needed. Highly recommended.Read full review

I have had a problem with my toilet not flushing and on-line help usually suggests throwing a bucket full of water down the bowl will work. It doesn't! I checked the usual DIY store sites and Screwfix had a cure for about £120. I found one identical to this Ebay item on Wickes site and they wanted £16 for it. This one sounded too cheap to be of good quality. I ordered it and 2 pumps cleared my blockage in the toilet. My bath takes a long time to drain so I tried it on that and it cured that as well. It doesn't matter if it breaks or perishes because £5.99 is cheap to cure the problem. Plumbers charge from £30 to do the job.

We did about 40 plunges- to be fair I think it was clear after 30 but we wanted to make sure. The loo has been blocked for weeks and bleach, coat hanger, praying did not work. This plunger is a miracle! I made my teenage daughter do it whilst I stood at a safe distance. It was either her or her sister who blocked it in the first place, so only fair! This product is amazing and made me do a happy dance once the blockage was freed. Totally recommend this product.

Been having problems with our bathroom toilet for some time but after using this Plunger just once ,when it cleared the blockage immediately, we've had no problems since. I would highly recommend this simple to use and very effective piece of equipment to anyone.

This bit of kit does what it says on the tin. I have been trying to unblock a w.c. using a standard toilet plunger but with no effect. Have just used the new one and three plunges later, job done! Would definitely recommend.
