As every decent test seems to confirm, Gelid Extreme is the best thermal compound in its class. Up against Arctic's own excellent MX-4, and apparently having the same thermal conductivity at 8.5 W/(m*K), it offers marginally better performance by my measurement, albeit at a slightly higher cost. Load temps were reduced on my system from 56C to 53C, even after upgrading to a to a better/hotter processor. The common advice coming from various discussion forums is to warm the syringe before using, so I did and found it very easy to apply as a result. There's enough for 3-4 applications if you use it properly, that's more than plenty for the lifetimes of most CPUs.

So i have used arctic MX4 for years and i thought i would give this a try as i heard it has better heat transfer as well as better temps.... I get the same temps as the Arctic MX4 paste and the thermal grizzly costs £3 to £10 more (depending where you get it) for a gram which is less than Arctic MX4 tubes for £5 to £8 (depending where you get it). End result I cant really recommend this product due to the price and the amount you get when a competitor has practically the same product and you get more of that product for less money.

Great stuff icy cool performance best around. Forget Arctic silver 5 extortionate priced old paste this is like swapping a penny for a pound. Rated at 8.5 kwm so high end heat transfer and easy to apply. Only thing thats close is the new thermal Grizzly or Noctua NT H1,and theres very little in it between them. All together an Excellent choice.

Used this product to rescue the GPU on a 2008 iMac. The product has an excellent thermal conductivity specification, and coupled with its low electrical conductivity this was clearly the right product to use for this application. The result: the iMac is now working again fine, and the GPU does not overheat. One small observation: the 1Gram size was only just enough for the GPU and the four memory chips surrounding it. A 1.5 Gram pack size would have been better.

This paste made both my high end gaming laptops overheat. Both had really bad spikes in the temperature and would not hold a steady idel. Also they would get hot to the point where it would affecting the gaming performance ie crashes and rendering issues. I now use arctic silver 5 which works really well and gives me a steady idel plus no rendering issues or heat.

Great Compound/Paste. Good value for money also u dont get alot but just enough. Even with one small tube i did a 2 cpus. I did appreciate that fact that they added the little spatula to assist with the application.Very well packaged and presented also. In my opinion there's no bad things about it. It's just great German Thermal Paste that does the job. For gamers and designers rigs.

I bought this product as an upgrade from the silver based paste I had been using previously, As it had a higher temperature displacement for pc bulids plus my Y700 notebook was running warmer than i'd liked. It was easy to apply and came with a handy spreader to apply it although I did not use it. After aplication I saw a staggering drop of 20c off my GTX 960m gpu and 15c off the I7 6700HQ cpu. Much better than I was expecting. This is the best thermal past I'v used in 15 years of pc bulding. I would recommend this for any gaming pc not requiring liquid cooling, 10/10.

Good quality thermal paste that works very well. Easy to apply and transfers heat much better than the usual equivalent. I was skeptical about claims from other people who had used this product but I can confirm without doubt on my computer this made a difference of 4 degrees Celsius cooler at idle (29c) and 3 degrees Celsius cooler at full load (73c) on my Ryzen 5 3600 with a five pipe air cooler. That was just a straight swap in thermal paste. For the Ryzen 5 cpu - cooler is better it allows my chip to run faster for longer before thermal throttling kicks in. Well worth the money and effort for overall improvement. Still got some left enough for another application so definitely good value.

The quantity of Thermal Grease is ridiculously small, a tiny 1 gram syringe hidden in much larger outer packaging, not good value for money. It does however do a good job of keeping the cpu cool.

Nice easy spread comes with applicator (not that you need it in most cases). Have done 3 smaller cpu's from one tube so far. excellent temperature drop from standard.
