The sensors are held into the bumper by silicone “pegs” as they didn’t seem to fit the thickness of my bumper I tried trimming one. Then realised I could just pull the silicone part through the bumper and stretch it to fit. Easy on the end.

Purchased this at double the price of other's as the listing described it as premium quality. Having opened the packaging, it is exactly the same as a previous Chinese one I purchased for less than half the price. The control box and fittings are the same, including the sensors. Worst of all, the sound beeper is dual connected to the main power supply. This means the lead to the sound device is too short to reach the front of the vehicle. Either cut the wire and fit an extension or just leave it in the boot somewhere. Other cheaper versions have separate power cables and sound device cables with longer length. Even at this price, you have to purchase a monitor separately if you want one. The cheap versions come complete with one. As stated before, the overall build quality is absolutely no different than cheaper ones. The power wire and negative wires are very, very thin and flimsy. An instruction manual in English is provided covering the basic layout fitting of the parking sensors, but you have to look on YouTube or elsewhere for complete fitting information for your vehicle. That said, once fitted, they are working ok, but I would have been just as pleased, if not more, had I purchased the cheaper alternatives. Read full review

Ok so this a very cheap parking system , But it does have some considerable drawbacks. Firstly The system seems to randomly beep even if you're in an open area ... I even took the bumper off and pointed at the sky and it still beeped ...low flying aircraft ?? ..lol. Sencondly There is no adjustment for sensitivity at all so if you ignore the random beeps and wait for the constant tone you end up about 2 foot from a wall or other obstacle... which means you have to keep getting out and looking which defeats the point of the system....and makes it useless in a car-park where you typically have less than 2 feet between cars if they're centred in the parking spaces ...which they often aren't....all that happens is that as soon as you start to reverse in the beep turns into a constant tone and doesn't help at all. All it needs is some form of adjustment for each sensor on the control unit and it'd be a fairly good system. Thirdly the speaker is LOUD and I mean ...lorry reversing loud... I had to wrap mine in foam and bury it under the boot floor..... might be ideal if you do drive a truck though. It does however work ...as long as you don't want to park anywhere with in 2 foot of anything. I contrast this with the even cheaper £13 system from china ... you know the ones with the little led display that I fitted to my wifes car which works perfectly .... which I suspect is what I'm going to replace this system with.. The sensors are more aesthetically pleasing than many alternatives with their countersunk angle mounting, and the beeper (while it does not sound like any oem system I have used) is a lower tone and sounds more quality than some much more expensive systems. However, the brain box component is really what lets this kit down. There are only three stages of warning beep frequencies and unless you are manoeuvring exceptionally slowly, the beeps go from initial detection of an obstacle to a solid "stop" beep with no steps in between. There is no sense of gradually approaching the object detected. Also, one of the sensors was damaged in the process of fitting, so I asked the people at Hawk if they could supply a replacement unit. The money they wanted for one replacement sensor was ludicrous. I found a set of 4 identical replacement sensors for less money than they wanted for just the one, even with a choice of colours! Ended up fitting the Hawk sensors (which look good) and using a CISBO brain box and beeper and the whole setup works far better now, and the cisbo beeper's tone has improved since I last tried one, and probably sounds as oem as the Hawk one. It worked better than expected in service after doing a pre fit functional. It's good value, providing accurate positional results at a budget price. Be prepared for a bit of careful filing to fit the sensors as the cutter supplied is a tad on the small side. Yes I would recommending the device for the average d.i.yer.
