Great Item For Those Unable To Put On Socks

This is a surprisingly simple and easy to use ‘gadget’. Great if, like me, you’re unable to bend down to put on your socks by yourself. Just one thing, you will need to have quite loose fitting socks and compression tights/stockings may be more difficult. Other than this it is simple and effective to use. Just hook the aid round yours toes, slip in your foot and pull. The side strings have hoops where you can put your hands in and get a good grip.

    Flexible Sock Rubbish

This may work for most but in my case utterly useless for a start after rolling the sock onto the unit it closes together so tightly that you cant get you foot into to start the process you then have to repostion the sock so you can get your foot in then pulling on the draw cords results in the sock getting pulled on as far as your middle of your foot before the unit dissengages leaving you to put your sock on the convential way which totally defeats the object of the purchase in 1st place namely bending down so no it's no good whatsoever and I ordered another version from another company with the same result in my opinion the design is flawed the open jaws at the end need to be much more rigid or even permeantly fixed like an open tube then it might just work

  • Happy as solved a problem, easy to use, ...

Happy as solved a problem, easy to use, only issue, , if the sock is tight when pulling the stitching on the outer cover breaks a separates from the inner plastic, perfect for a month or two picking the right socks. However that said I have purchased another . Remember pick the right socks, not tight at the top

  • helping to put on socks

This is the second type of "sock putter on a" I have tried, the first one (£15) was sheet of plastic with two riveted holes where the string was tied. After about two weeks use the rivet pulled out and the sock putter on a was no more! I then tried this aid which is a good quality material and stitching ( and £10 LESS than my first purchase!) I have found that a little talcum powder sprinkled onto the heel area makes putting socks on extremely easy. I would advise anyone with joint problems to get one of these "sock putter on a" as it makes this everyday task of putting on socks so very easy. 10 out of 10

  • Easy to use

I have used this type of sock aid for over a year. It is incredibly easy to use, lightweight and very effective. The towelling side does show wear after a few months but it does not affect it’s usefulness.

  • REALLY easy way to put socks on

Fabulous item. I was dubious about it working but it REALLY does. Easy to use. Wish I'd known about it before. No more struggling to put socks on. Non slip base. Recommended to all.

  • Works really well and easy to use.

I bought one of these about 5 years ago when my hip started failing through arthritis. It finally failed as the material covering wore out and tore but it gave excellent service. I then bought a different design locally as this was no longer available, based on a similar design but without the nylon cover. It didn't work at all well as the bare plastic didn't slide over the skin so easily. As a result, I went on line to buy something similar to my previous design, which had a fabric covering to the plastic inner, like this one. The result is that it slides easily over the foot. Another advantage is the three fingers, which allow it to flex as it goes over the foot, again providing a much easier fit than the other one I bought which didn't have the three fingers but was a single sheet. My hip has now been replaced, but I still use this to put on socks. It works well with both short and knee-length socks. Overall, this is the best design I've used, is great value and will hopefully last as long as my previous one.

  • Sockaumatic

Got this for my 87 year old dad it's a fantastic aid really easy for him to use, he was so chuffed to beable to have a bit of independence back an not have to wait for someone to put his socks on, the straps are long enough that he doesn't have to bend at all and it pulls the sock all the way up his calf, excellent aid I would recommend it for any disabled person
