very simple and easy to use, at a great price. BUT: not very lightweight, I'm a pretty strong 50+ male and I had to be really careful moving this chair in and out of the boot. It's quite a bit heavier than I thought. Having said that, it does feel robust! The only other thing that surprised me was the feet supports. When you pick up the chair and orientate horizontally, one or more supports will fall off (clunking car or toes, or both. I soon got into the habit of removing before a stowed the chair- but it seems like an extra, unnecessary step, in a whole system of maneuvers required to get a person in and out of the chair. Those two things aside, we are very pleased at the moment. It gets used most days for hospital appointments and shopping- so it's only been on flat smooth ground. (I certainly couldn't imagine using it outside for longer than a few minutes). It's a smooth, well supported ride.Read full review

Was a little unsure when buying what we needed. The chair arrived well packaged and in good time. It is of a good quality and a reasonable price compared to others of this design However please note this is a transit chair and is a nightmare to push on pavements, crossing roads and general external use. Whilst ideal for pushing around a shopping mall and probably a hospital corridor it is not good for taking an average person out to the town. We shall end up buying another large wheeled version hich would be more suited for an all round experience. You live and learn !

It is a very sturdy item and lives up well to the rough terrain of our streets etc. If I have any complaints it is that the word lightweight is a but ambiguous. it is quite heavy in my opinion and although I am a fit 73 year old, some people may find it difficult to put in the boot of a car. Overall however I am happy with it.

No cons. The chair is lightweight and compact which is ideal for my purposes. I bought this as a second chair for internal use only and it is of considerable help in navigating around my rather compact bungalow. It is even more compact with the footplates removed (I have coped with the then trailing feet problem by introducing a 75mm cushion)

Haven't used this one yet, as mum broken hip Nd una ke to take out yet, but had one for my Dad and it was great. Folds up to fit in a small boot, sturdy and great for shopping around town. Not great o. Uneven surfaces though, but if some needs a chair as can't walk very well it's ideal. Recommended buying a separate cusion for extra comfort though.
