Very good upgrade over the fritz box 3490.
Bought from ebay, used to replace a Fritz box 3490 on Zen ISP uk. Installation was straightforward, needed a couple of reboots of the PC and router to get settled, The setup wizard was preset with Zen as option. Only thing to do manually was the DNS server, this was set to the ASUS one I wanted to reset to the Zen one. down load speed up from 16-18 with the fritz and daily drops of the connection, to 25-28 with no drops of connection over the week since install. Wifi now pushed out much further, rooms where only 2.4 was available now have 5 as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

As ADSL wireless router it's doing the job well
As ADSL wireless router it's doing the job well, and the default settings are great. I like the advanced options for the settings. the anti virus protection system that built in the router is over protecting and blocking things that it's not spouse to block with no ability to change the role so you have to disable it. also the VPN client not function well with no log about the problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Lack of basic functionality like dhcp with DNS addresses, impossible to connect or control over Wan due to the issues with build in ssl certificate - unable to use your own SSL certificate, ASU’s router app on the mobile devices won’t support this model. Poor hardware, worse firmware
After a lot of fiddling around and jving to uodate the firmware before It would contract to anything, It worked for a day.
