I've had my Miele less than a week but already love it! Yes, it's easy to use, I can pull it along with no trouble (unlike the previous two vacuums I had -- granted they were not canister type but the one -- a VERY popular name and pretty expensive! -- wore me out as I tried to vacuum my bare floors. And the hose pinched my fingers if I grabbed/held it anywhere on the hose! This does NOT happen with the Miele even at the highest suction setting.) I researched for the "best" vacuum for hardwood floors and this came up. I love the "Parquet" attachment -- nice wide head with soft bristles -- it gets down between the planks and vacuums it all!

I have only had this vacuum cleaner for a short time, but it is magnificent. It is so simple to use and to change attachments. The suction produced for cleaning is amazing. In the past, I have used Eureka, Kirby, Royal, and Hoover machines, but not one compares favorably to this Miele. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a clean house and a reliable brand.

Never thought I'd spend this kind of money on a vacuum, but my Kenmore bagged upright which did a good job on rugs, was terrible on hardwood floors and mostly just blew the dust and fine dirt around the floor. Plus the cheap plastic attachments would come off easily while using them which was very annoying. The Miele C3 soft carpet is a revelation from a quality standpoint. The cannister has a nice bumper guard to protect your walls, the parquet floor brush has great suction all the way to baseboard edges and picks up all kinds of dirt the old vacuum left behind. Even at maximum suction power, this vacuum is so quiet compared to all the vacuums I've used in the past. The power rug attachment is terrific and has multiple adjustment levels. The all metal wand is adjustable for different lengths which will suit someone from 5 ft. tall to 6ft.5. The HEPA filter and tightly sealed bags and canister assure clean air output, which is good for our allergies. All in all, this is vacuum iRead full review

The Miele C3 is a great vacuum but it has a really confusing number of models. I actually bought this "Parquet" model by mistake -- the problem was it did not have any sort of roller-brush head and would not pick dog fur up off carpet. I ordered a "turbo head" to add to the vacuum and now it does a great job with the dog fur on the carpets as well as the hard floors. Miele is also reputed to last forever without breakdowns but of course I haven't had mine long enough to know.

When we returned from Switzerland, I was so reluctant to give up my Miele, I called the factory in Germany to see if it could be converted from 220 power. It wasn't, so I sold it there and have since purchased 2 for our U.S. Homes and one as a gift for our friends, all on eBay. It is light weight to take up and down stairs, and easily cleans any surfaces. I like the fact that it came in different colors, livens things up a bit. I especially like the settings to limit the suction, so you can do drapes or rugs without them being drawn into the wand, but still efficiently cleaning each piece. Beautifully engineered as only these folks can, I would buy one again, but I think these two will last the rest of my life.
