Good compromise of features and cost but fragile rear phone case
We bought this Verizon branded (locked) Moto G6 version to replace one of the two Best Buy (unlocked) Moto G6 versions that we've had for several years in order to use the WiFi calling feature which is only available on those branded versions with the Verizon factory installed firmware (apparently an industry wide marketing "quirk" of most phones not limited to just Verizon/Motorola). We now can make our calls over the internet at a relatives house who has good WiFi but no cell service.
We like the Moto G6 price/feature combination (why we now own 3) but find the glass-like rear cover of the phone too fragile. Makes for a nice slippery phone if you keep it in your pocket but we prefer to use a rubber phone case for protection from daily bumps and drops so that glass-like case feature provides no benefit to us. We have cracked the backs of both of our other two phones while within their cases (1 repaired, 1 left as is-- cracks are not a problem while covered by our protective case), I can't imagine how well they would survive "bare" while being sat upon all the time or dropped even once.
