I held off buying the Bluetooth unit for Victron solar charge controllers at first as it seems quite a high price for a small ( 200W) setup. I'm glad I finally gave in. With the unit mounted at dashboard level I can read the charge/load states and make adjustments all from my house. It has to reconnect every time I leave the screen but it's quick and automatic. Both the Bluetooth unit and charge controller automatically updated software the first time I used them so make sure you have updated the app and have good phone battery. Maybe took 10mins but did freeze on 93% (rebooted phone and it had actually successfully completed the update). In my eyes there is no point having a good charge controller without either this Bluetooth unit or the other wall mount display. (Cable to laptop is an option but a faff). Seems like a well made item but beware of pin damage when connecting the plug to the other Victron bit of kit.Read full review

its just great that with this little fella you can monitor and set up any victron device with ve. direct via your phone trouble comes with the app.. it is ok, but takes time&hassle to connect can has power output monitoring for inverters with history, as it has for solar controllers
