I've been using this type of cup for years. I bought two of these to replace my beakers which were looking worse for wear. It may look odd drinking coffee or champagne from these beakers but I swear by them because being able to feed myself does a lot for my esteem. Unfortunately they do look like a disabled cup but so does everything else on the market.
