A Super improvement over the theatrical cut.
**Minor Spoilers** This version of the movie was so much better than what I remember from watching it when I was younger. Gone are the sillier moments: that weird cellophane symbol and the magic "forget" kiss. Also, I much prefer the way Lois finds out Clark is really Superman here. The rest is of course fantastic in all its cheesy super fun goodness. Christopher Reeve just is Superman. Margot Kidder chines as Lois Lane. All the other cast are excellent reprising their roles. I love this extended version of Superman 2 better than the Lester version.
I remember watching this movie on dvd and blu ray disc 7 years ago I didn’t know they existed, but I also like the deleted scenes from lex Luthor going back to prison in the Arctic Ocean. I really missed Richard Donner since, he passed away from old age this year. Yes, I like him as a director from Superman the movie, Superman 2: Richard Donner cut, the goonies, and the 4 lethal weapon movies from Warner Bros.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than theatrical release!
Story was more interesting than the Lester version in 1980. Scenes with Brando were groundbreaking for big budget Hollywood film. The theater release just had Superman’s mom which was lame just to save cost. Superman is #1 hero. I miss Chris Reeve, too. Margot Kidder never did it for me as Lois Lane, but she was smart in this Donner cut. I wish Donner would have filmed her getting it on with de-activated Superman at the Fortress of Sexitude 😜Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Donner's director's cut delivers!
