Mediocre in 4K. Cannot distinguish from 1080.
This 4K Imax movie had great reviews in the three places I checked though there were very few reviewers in all cases. Makes me wonder if the reviewers have much experience with 4K movies and have the equipment enabling them to compare 4K with 1080. This is an underwhelming film in 4K. There are a couple of views of planet earth in 4K that are impressive but the filming of the astronauts inside the space station and other things cannot be distinguished from ordinary 1080. Jennifer Lawrence is terrible as a narrator though okay as an actress. You need someone with a deeper, more authoritative voice. This is the 8th IMAX film that I bought with astronauts and it offers nothing new. Yes, they can float in space, just like in the other movies. It's tiring. If you want to impress your friends with 4K, buy Flight of the Butterflies or Planet Earth II. A Beautiful Planet will not get the job done.
