Outlander Season 1 & 2
I watched the first Season of Outlander on More4 TV last year, so was keen to see Season 2. As I could not find details of it on TV here in England in the near future, I bought this box set. I read the books very many years ago and was fascinated by them. I actually read up to and including the one entitled “A Breath of Snow and Ashes.” I would recommend the DVDs to anyone who has enjoyed the books. They are a little gory in places, due to the brutal ways punishment was carried out in them, but the acting is superb, especially the two lead characters and the actor who took on two parts brilliantly and had to have a split personality, playing Claire’s husband in the 1940’s and his own ancestor in the 1700’s.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great follow up to first season with our hero getting into even more trouble time and again but finally getting ..........no I'll not spoil it. Good quality dvds but really you need to just settle down and watch the whole thing. To explain the plots, counter plots, sub plots etc etc would ruin it for those who have not yet watched it on tv, and to those who have, watch again and enjoy. Like G of T, you need to watch the entire thing to fully understand just what is going on by whom and to whom! Enjoy. You will not be disappointed. (The only niggle is that the dvds are direct copies from the tv episodes so you get the end titles each time and the introduction each time)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
