This book was such a disappointment. The author has written a number of Holmes pastiches. I have read a few and found them tolerable. This book was a long convoluted unconvincing yarn. Consisting of a number of short stories all linked to one underlying theme. Which are supposed to culminate in a 'BIG ' reveal and conclusion. Someone is out for revenge against Sherlock Holmes, and wants to make him suffer and destroy him. What again ? Yawn ! It REALLY is unconvincing Twaddle. The person behind all of these crimes is supposed to be an unknown criminal genius. But after going through each individual crime in each individual story , it's supposed to conclude in the great finale . It wasn't hard to guess where this was all leading. Holmes and Watson are as unconvincing as the yarns. This book is missing everything from a perspective of an authentic 'Victorian ' story , and from the ' Canon '. True Holmes fans are advised to save their money, I wish I had .Read full review
