Could be better.
Maybe I was expecting too much - this album has been unavailable for so long, with original CDs going for ridiculous prices, that I had given up on it. Now we have a brand new re-release which appears to be a straight copy of the master tapes - it would certainly benefited from a good remastering or, better still, a remixing. Still, it's all we have at the moment and it's adequate - the four stars reflect the basic paucity of information: no notes, not even a list of contributing musicians, which I find particularly annoying! Anyone coming new to this might be aware of the line-up but I recall being immensely impressed by the considerable input of Anthony Phillips and his keyboard rig, and it is unfortunate, to say the least, that he and the others go totally uncredited. I hope this company won't pull the same stunt as the big labels did in the past: issue the worst edition first, then upgrade it incrementally until we've all bought three copies. Enjoy.
