Cold War thriller in which a prizewinning novelist becomes inadvertently caught up in a deadly plot. In the course of his acceptance speech for the Nobel Prize, he refers to an imaginary plan to kidnap one of the other prizewinners. But his joking reference is closer to the truth than he realises, and he soon finds himself drawn into a communist conspiracy involving kidnapping and murder.

    If you are interested in early Paul Newman, and sub Hitchcock, fair enough. Otherwise hardly worth the money.
