Notes2007 two CD collection of Eddie Clarke's musical canon taking-in his varied steps onto the Rock 'n' Roll ladder through his collaborative ventures and then finally his solo work with Black Electric in the new millennium. Primarily known as one third of the classic Motörhead line-up who recorded the perennial Speed Metal classic Ace of Spades, guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke has enjoyed a career in the hard rockin' fast lane for nearly 34 years and shows no sign of hanging-up the bullet belt just yet. Turning professional in '73 and taking the lead guitar slot in the Curtis Knight band, Zeus (a position held by Jimi Hendrix in a previous Curtis Knight incarnation), Eddie recorded two albums, later splintering to form Blue Goose and then Continuous Performance. Joining Motörhead in '75, his six-year stay resulted in what some maintain to be the band's most fruitful of their career, peaking with the number one live album, No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith. Forming Fastway with ex-UFO bassist Pete Way (who quit just before they signed to CBS) and ex.-Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley, Eddie blazed forward releasing several albums before beginning to release solo albums from '94.
