These ARE easy to fit in theory- you just find a clean level surface, place them where you want them push down the 'switches' at either end. BUT- the surface must be VERY clean and VERY level. All this means is that you must take care putting them up- if you don't get it right they will fall off after a few minutes or hours- or, potentially worse, when someone is putting some weight on them-which could result in a nasty fall. Note that the product information says that they are not suitable for great weights and are intended to be a steadying support, rather than a means of pulling yourself up out of a bath. If you are putting them up at on a difficult to reach bit of wall (like stretching over a bath) or want to be reassured, it may be as well to get a friend or family member to put them up for you. However, properly put up they are very good and reassuringly solid feeling. I think they would be helpful for anyone who wants a little bit of reassurance, and also for small children just getting used to getting in and out of a bath. It's also possible to take them off by lifting the switches if you want to resite them, or take them with you if staying away from home as they don't damage the wall surface. All in all a very good product, requiring a bit of common sense and care from users.Read full review

Sadly, these things only seem to work effectively if you have a large, flat tile area or glass or plastic to attach them to. If, as in our case, the suction surface encounters even a small tile edge or grout line, the handle won't adhere. Probably fine if you have tiles which will easily accommodate the whole diameter of the suction pads, but pretty useless if you have small tiles (or I suspect, tiles with a textured surface). Seem to be good quality and sturdy enough, but size and texture of tiled area is critical.

It's good quality and value for money. I'd recommend it, being careful to stress care in using - I test it each time to be sure it's securely fixed before putting weight on it. I'm elderly and find it gives me confidence that there's something to grab if I feel a little shaky in the shower.

Really good suction grip, just make sure the tiles are clean and these handles will hold my 13 stone frame when getting into shower. The levers that work the suction cups feel a little flimsy but you don't use them unless you want to move the handles. For the price they are an excellent purchase.

I was a bit sceptical on the quality and effectiveness of this product due to the low price, but I needed not worry, great product made of durable materials and does what it says. The grab bars have been a god send since my surgery and have made all the difference would highly recommend this product.
