Bit of a fiddle to get working
I bought this key as my remote locking had stopped working, and intended to swap the body of the new key onto my original key. You must also have a second complete original key before you can programme the new key, as you cannot use the new key to turn off the alarm until it is programmed in. I found, through trial and error, that I needed to keep the back part of the original key (that holds the battery), along with the metal key itself, so only the front part with the buttons and the circuit board were actually used from the new key. Also the battery supplied with the new key was completely dead. However, even though it is a bit of a fiddle, it is a really cheap solution, so I cant fault it on that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent value, No immobiliser chip though.
Excellent value, simple to program if you have another working key. Drawback is there is no immobiliser chip but easy to swap from original key. My unlock button wasn't working so bought this for the remote part of the key and not the blade so just just fitted onto original blade. Good value did a perfect job.
Saved a fortune when the key on my car went dead . I used the new 3 button insert in the old key so I did not have to get the key recut . You can reprogram this yourself but I chose to get the ford garage to do it . Recommended for any Focus that looks like it

Does the job
After my car key remote stopped working I was looking for a cheap alternative to paying hundreds of pounds at the dealer for a new one. Perfect for the job
This does exactly what it’s supposed to. Had a key fob that broke, this replaced it for a fraction of the cost of going to a shop or dealership. When you’re programming it though, you NEED an original fob that works.
