I first used this product in 2013 when drawing celebrity portraits in pencil and ink. My book is called "Light & Dark for Chiaroscuro: Pastiche Portraits ...better than ever!" I recently repurchased the product to acheive the same photo-real finish. Dabbing a putty-rubber gives you a finer control over the possible range of tones with a pencil.

Fantastic with charcoal/pencil drawings. Haven't tried coloured pastels yet. Very happy with the effect on my drawings this putty rubber makes. I will buy another one later.

as an industrial designer & technical illustrator working in pencil & fineline pens, the W&N putty rubbers are still the best & I have tried most of them! Hint: if you don't use them very often, keep the rubber in a closed jam-jar or similar. This stops oxidation which makes the rubber harden & less effective.

Have not used it yet but it is a good make so I am sure it will be fine

The best putty rubber. I would never waste my money on any other.
