Compact Bike Rack for 4x bikes that fixes bikes firmly in place.
Positives: - Compact. - Excellent rachet and webbing system for holding bikes firmly in place. - Good security from integrated cable and lock. Less Positive: - Mainly constructed from a painted steel frame - scratches appeared after first use and will inevitably rust - plastic coating as on the v-cradles would have been more resilient (and added expense, of course). - More than 2 bikes require auxillary straps to be connected to provide extra support in case of shocks - a bit of a faff to connect, but works fine. - Some Sharp edges around the ratchet mechanism that will scratch bike frames as they are attached. - Plastic sleeve on security cable does not extend to the loop where the padlock is fixed. This will scratch bike frames and car bodywork. Every purchase is a compromise, but I think the MaxxRaxx positives outweigh the negatives. All things considered, I'd probably buy the same rack again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
