EBC Prolite floating brake disc, Floater complete. MADE IN UK. Development goal is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR low carbon steel, which has a high coefficient of friction of 18%. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface with a 3 micron thick zinc layer is protected, the same abrades already in deceleration in the contact area of the pad. Only in this area, light surface rust could form prolonged service life. The brake discs are drilled into the wings of a bird design, in order to get along with as little holes as possible, optimizing the cleaning of the brake disc of rainwater and brake dust.
