Fast, fast, fast for SDXC UHS-II cards
Used with a USB3 connection, this is a blisteringly fast card reader (and writer). It works great with full-size SDXC cards - I saw approaching 200MB/s read, not far off the limit for the card I was using. Oddly, I couldn't get similar speed from the microSD port. I used a fast Adata 256GB UHS-II microSD card and got about 100MB/s read and write. But when I put the same card info a UHS-II full size adapter and plugged that into the corresponding slot on the reader, the speeds increased dramatically (nearly 200MB/s read). I can only imagine the microSD slot isn't wired for UHS-II. If you're using full size fast UHS-II cards, this reader is magic. If you're using microSD, you'll want to invest a few pennies in a UHS-II microSD to SD adapter to take best advantage of the speed.

Fast for video files
This was the cheapest UHSll card reader I could find. My previous reader took approximately 1min per GB to download video files. This downloaded 7GB of files from an 90MBs card in 2 minutes via USB3:USBC adapter to my 2017 MBP. My card comes from a BMPCC camera. I expect the faster cards to download even quicker.
