This kit is quite comprehensive, and had all the necessary adapters for my car - just compare the glow plug you remove to the multiple glow plug/injector adapters in the kit, and choose the closest match. Bolt in the adapter, connect up the pressure gauge and its ready to test. The testing was very straightforward, taking about 15 minutes to test all 4 cylinders, and it confirmed what I thought was the problem - lack of compression on cylinder 3 and 4. The gauge retains the pressure reading until released so it can be operated single-handedly. Having only used it once, I can't comment on durability. I wouldn't expect it to stand up to the rigours of commercial use as there was some marking on the threads of the adapter having inserted and removed it four times, but for the averge home mechanic it should be sufficent and certainly a lot cheaper than having a garage do the work.Read full review

2nd hand not new. Threads damaged and some threads full of old engine grease Avoid! See photo's of how this "new" kit was when it arrived. I didn't expect Snap on quality at the price, but expected better than the appalling condition of this. Not just rust on the outside, some of the insides were clogged up with the stuff. Don't waste your money. Z---

Easy to use in a nice case, great for the D.I.Y er, but if you want to use it day in day out then personally i would buy one more for garage use, Done my compression test in about 20 mins, (removed glow plugs and done it that way) and happy with the results, easy tool to use. Many thanks

very useful bit of kit for the price

You really can't go wrong at this price. As an amateur mechanic, I am unlikely to need to use this very often, so absolute quality is not important to me. That having been said it worked well and I can see no obvious downsides. Recommended
