Handy splitter
Very handy bit of kit. Good for small logs upto around 10" diameter with a 4lb club hammer. Bigger diameter logs will require a BIGGER Hammer. Doesn't seem to split 4 ways on green lumber but havnt tried on seasoned logs. Solid piece of cast iron which is simple and effective on the smaller diameter stuff with medium effort. Excellent value for money especially at the price...if your unfortunate you could pay double the price for exactly the same thing!!

Falls short
If used on straight grain wood this may be a great tool but, on twisted grain seasoned wood, not so good. However seller very fair and l shall reserve the grenade for decent logs, which make up over 90% of the wood l get. I probably expected too much! Where did l put the saw?

Just the job
Just tried this log splitter. No problems as yet, so purchased another one as a back up. I did have one which was a branded name and nearly double the price and didn't have it long, which snapped on me. So this seems a good buy.
