Works well, and not hard to set up for the simple stuff.
It's not hard to get it set up to record calls 'on demand'. The fancier stuff didn't sound easy but I didn't try. It dovetails nicely with my Windows 7 computer and played through the computer the sound quality for speech is excellent. It doesn't take a lot of desk space, but it's not small enough to be slipped into a pocket every day to go back and forth from home to work.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good Sound, Poor Usability
When the USB cable is connected to a PC, it does not mount as a thumb drive. Therefore, to access the recording files I have to unplug the unit and remove the batteries before removing the Mem card. (A power switch would be very useful in this case!) Then, when I reinstall the Mem card, reinstall the batteries, and plug the unit back into power, I have to reset the system clock, etc. It would have been great if the Mfg actually tested the unit with real customers before releasing the product. The only good feature about this product is the good sound quality, otherwise everything is very disappointing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Does the Job Well on Windows 7
I bought this device after having a much cheaper device that barely worked. It would have got 5 stars if it were priced a bit less. But I needed to record what the lairs in the Insurance Industry say. The sound quality on this is much better than the cheaper device. And this device is more convenient because there's no need to eject the SD card to listen to the recordings. Because the device is close enough to my computer, I just use one of the many standard USB cables that I already owned to connect it to my computer. The "Call Assistant RG" program works on Windows 7. My firewall log suggests that the software has made no attempts to use the Internet (good thing). One time I plugged it into my computer and it would not play the recordings, but all the other times, it's worked. Not sure what that's about, but it's been fairly reliable. By the way, my "land line" is an Ooma Telo, and it works fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Plug them into either the cord coming from the wall, or, the cord between the phone and the handset, run through the configuration, and start recording every time you're on a call ...
