I have used another ATA for about 6 years without any problems, but recently it started failing. Purchased this one and it arrived quickly, took a little effort to get it working with my router, but now that everything is set up right, the quality is outstanding. Much better than my old one. My router is designed for Voip and needed to be set right to make this unit work flawlessly.

Don't know how this was shipped actually from Amazon Prime, although I ordered on eBay this item. I use VOIP dot MS service, it is low cost, easy to setup, allowing me to block junk callers. I have been using this kind of adapter for many years. It is great and reliable. VOIP's call rate is very reasonable. Its tech support has sample configuration that can be followed exactly to configure this adapter.

This review is more about how this product works (does not work) with Xfinity voice than the product itself. It appears to be a well-made product, however, if you bought it to work with Xfinity voice using any plain modem/router, you may be disappointed. I bought this adapter (and a cable modem) hoping to not have to lease Xfinity's modem with voice any more, however, Xfinity told me that this simple VoIP ATA device does not work on their network which requires an eMTA (embedded multimedia terminal adapter) phone jack. You may have better luck and/or get a more competent Xfinity tech when try to activate it, but it didn't work for me. I'm buying a Netgear modem with phone (CM500V) that is approved by Xfinity -- I just don't want to pay Comcast $10 a month for modem lease. I gave this product 5 stars as it appears to have nice build quality. It not working w/Xfinity is not the product's fault. Hope this review helps others contemplating buying this product for the same reason.Read full review

I have deployed 3 of these so far to connect Fax machines to my IP-PBX. Set up is simple, and performance has been flawless. Best and least expensive adapter I have found. It has two analog ports, so I have also been able to deploy inexpensive cordless phones as extensions as well. (Freepbx via Flowroute)

Cisco makes rock solid products and this ATA is no exception. My IP phone broke and having this allowed me to connect a standard home phone and get back in business until a replacement IP phone could arrive. It also allows me to use my IP PBX with a standard fax using the T.38 protocol. Great value!
