A123 26650 70amp
Thought that the bms didn’t balance and wasn’t a bms after reading forums and not seeing any leads.
There’s one forum that has about 4 threads about this battery and you can find pictures of it broken down.
Started to break it down myself and found out the bms mount points are actually connected to balance strips and 12s all but one were at 3.20v one at 3.19
So I put the bms back on and Charged it cccv around 1amp at 43.2v til I got it to 40v and it was balanced 3.5v 11/12s with one 3.49~3.5 so that’s where a bad cell I’m guessing. If you had a 36v e-bike this would be great if combined with current and voltage protection. Could be done easily with a relay or two. Isn’t the best for a power wall because it is more for high drain vs high density. Unfortunately my application works off 48v so I will be parting it out for the individual 26650s and scrapping the bms and bad cell(s). These would be perfect wired in parallel with a 1000-1500w 36v motor on a diy trike.. practically plug and play... man now I want a trike.
FYI these are from electric Canadian buses not navy ships. For those of you with 8k play money, there’s apparently a seller on eBay who will sell 1000 units @ 80 something Canadian per unit.
