    Great tactical flashlight!

Good tactical flashlight! Compact, super bright and seemingly very durable. Easy-to-use thumb button on rear of flashlight makes it easy to turn on/off in a hurry. Rechargeable battery seems to have good, long life after a charge. Can't vouch for how many lifetime charges it will deliver. The "Intellibeam" element of this SureFire flashlight is a neat feature which dims the light as you approach the object of interest. At 15-20 feet, you have 1500 lumens. When you close to 6-8 feet, the flashlight automatically dims down to half that or less. This keeps you from "over-lighting the subject", and washing out your own ability to see details. Nice trick.   My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is that you have to double-click (or triple-click sometimes) the on/off button to access maximum illumination (which is really, really bright). Ideally, the flashlight would have two buttons or switches: one to simply turn it on/off; the other to select which level of illumination you want. That way, you wouldn't have to multi-click the on/off button to change the level of illumination. But this is a small complaint. Net, net -- a great tactical flashlight. Much improvement over my prior flashlight, which had more features/options, but was impossible to use easily in rapid-fire situation.

Light is ok, but shop around.

It a very nice light. I have several other Surefires. This one does not have multiple brightness levels other than the levels resulting from the 2 non-rechargeable and the rechargeable batteries. The light did not come with the rechargeable battery. A buyer might want to find a package with both the rechargeable battery and the 2 non-rechargeable batteries. It did not come with a case. All the other Surefire flashlights came with a nylon case.

  • Surefire DFT works pretty well

The light is typical of what’s expected of surefire. The light is bright and lasts with the included lithium batteries and is noticeably brighter with rechargeable battery but the light does dim a little when the light gets warm when using the rechargeable battery. It does protect itself. There were problems with the black 18650 surefire batteries where the light would stop working. But the newer battery works better. I like it enough to have bought several of them.

  • Super bright, super great flashlight!!!!

I got this to replace my years-old 6P LED, of which the LED burnt out long ago and I had replaced the bulb with one from a third-party manufacturer that was giving about 325/425 lumens, a definite upgrade from the 80 to 120 lumens when it was first released. I still use it today as it's been a workhorse but with this new offering from SureFire, it is 3 times more powerful! I've tried it and the brightness and throw may be too much for room to room work, or within less than 10 feet. However, if you need something to pierce the dark and want all the lumens, whether it's for duty work or for personal defense (yes, you could use this to blind many an attacker), then this flashlight is for you. It only has one setting and the throw is great for the brightness. Keep in mind, 2 x CR123's will offer 1200 lumens at its brightest but buy the proprietary 18650 rechargeable battery and you get 1500 lumens. Current generic 18650 batteries won't work because you need at least a 5 amp discharge rate and current generics only offer around 3.7 amperage. You will be able to easily identify your target or blind someone temporarily with that kind of power. Recommended.

  • Rugged and Reliable

I was impressed highly with this light. It’s duel fuel let’s you use 123a or 18650 batteries. Super bright and with one output only that’s seriously blinding. Fits in my old surefire nylon holsters too. Fits inside my pockets, which is important for me. This is my new favorite SureFire. The Runtime isn’t too bad, I especially consider using a spare 18650.

  • Awesome!

The construction and Optics are very good. The only issue is the 18650 batteries. I can’t ship Surefire batteries to Australia so I had to find a replacement which is not the same as Surefire battery.

  • Not the ‘INTELLIBEAM’ Flashlight

I ordered the ‘INTELLIBEAM’ Flashlight. You can control brightness of Light from low 15 Lumens with one-click, to two-clicks to get full 1500 Lumens. This product was advertised to be the ‘INTELLIBEAM’ flashlight. I actually received the basic Fury click-on click-off 1500 Lumens flashlight. It didn’t have the 15 Lumens ‘INTELLIBEAM’ feature, as advertised.

  • Fury dft

Best price I have found so far, 1500 lumens when you press the button one time unlike others, built like a tank and would be the flashlight I would grab if I had to bet my life on it functioning EVERY single time I needed it to.The battery myth of using only SF batteries with it is absolutely 100% false.

  • Surefire Fury

Was wanting a super bright light for work that used the rechargeable batteries my DF600 used. I’m a Maintenance Man and spend a lot of time in machinery looking for problems, this light works great. Most lights use regular batteries or the 123’s, they are expensive and die quickly. The 18650 batteries last for days and are rechargeable. I would buy it again
