No frills workmate
I bought a Black and Decker 300 in 1992, I still have it and still use it. This 301 is almost identical and I can't see why it wouldn't last just as long. Other reviews say "it's not a Black and Decker item", mine came in a Black and Decker box and has a Black and Decker logo on it so I can say it is a Black and Decker. Not Black & Decker
As pointed out by an earlier reviewer this is not a B&D item but a cheap copy. Having said that, it came with all the parts, was relatively easy to put together and will do the basic job of being something you can rest things on. I have an old Workmate and it is far superior. Yes it is lightweight.... but I would have selected something else had I been aware.
This is not a Black & Decker Workmate as Advertised ! I have however kept it as it is a hassle to return it & I need to use something straight away. The vice jaws are MDF & I would imagine they will not give me the wear my other B&D bench does.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Before you start to put it together check out u tube for the instructions on how to assemble because it is not easy trying to understand the supplied instructions. Workmate, goodmate and versatile
I've got an old B&D Workmate 400 which I like and although there are more versatile ones with holding jaws that flip upright I find them less firm when holing items. So for me this is the best bet. Good price, well made and the bamboo wood is fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
