    good shifting,allowed me to retain my SRAM 3 x 9 speed setup, no handle bar clamp position adjustment

    Was looking for an X7 9 speed shifter but SRAM don't appear to manufacture them any more. X5 shifter works just as well as an X7, but it does not have the facility to alter the position of its handle bar clamp, which has meant I needed to swap brake and shifter relative positions which is not quite as comfortable. This shifter allowed me to retain my SRAM 3 x 9 speed setup saving me a lot of cash. Furthermore I am not a fan of 1 by 10,11 or 12 setups

    Brilliant

    Bought replacement Altus shifter for Altus derailleur. Still no good. Found derailleur to be at fault. Bit the bullet & bought Sram X5 shifter & matching derailleur. OMG!! What a difference. Easiest way to make a second hand 1yr old £230 Vitus Nucleus feel like a brand £1k+ bike. Was thinking of selling it. I'm keeping now!! 😍
