Great for metal detecting and gardening, I do both with this super shovel.
Love this shovel. Around a large bush with a large strong root system, I could only get a normal shovel down about 4 in and it would stop. The root slayer will go down and bottom out with minimum effort, you can feel the shovel going through the roots with ease. It also pops out dandelions in my yard with ease, root and all without using chemicals. I bought the shovel originally for metal detecting, and for that, it is super great for pulling out nice plugs 8 to 10 inches down with little effort leaving the area almost undetectable that I was there searching. It is very light, making walking with it quite satisfying compared to a regular ineffective heavier spade. Last hunt I found a 1940d Wheat with this shovel 8" down. I highly recommend this shovel, invaluable. Now I dig more targets since it is not such a chore to go down for it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
