Saw this light being used on a car restoration programme and immediately identified that it provided pure and directed light onto a specific work area that demanded detailed application by the engineer. I noted that i have a number of DeWalt 18V items, more than 6, and this accessory seemed to be an obvious addition to my tools. It has been a brilliant addition and even in daylight provides the right amount of light when doing detailing jobs, be they DIY around the house, in the workshop or garage. Typically well made DeWalt item, quality tooling, lightweight, easy to use, two brightness settings accepts the full range of DeWalt 18V XR Lithium Ion batteries, head can be moved through 135 degrees from the horizontal. Light quality is pure consistent and clean. The price made this a no-brainer addition to my tool set and much more convenient that lugging round a halogen lamp that requires mains or a transformer. Very good torch or work light, useful features such as pivoting head and retractable hanging hook and has 2 light intensity settings. Would be very expensive if you bought with lith battery and charger, but as a bare unit, good value and excellent build quality, I have spare batteries and chargers from other 18 volt XR Dewalt tools so all is good.

If you already own any DeWalt 18 volt tools this is a great addition to your kit. The beam has a wide spread, and is ideal for working in areas such as lofts where there isn't any power supply for conventional lighting. Also, useful in the event of a power cut, as it provides enough light for a whole room in an emergency. Too expensive to buy as a one off item, as you need a battery and charger to use it.

I am very pleased with this product. The quality and feel of the light is outstanding. It has the same good grip as the other Dewalt powertools. The pivoting function works as it should, and I dont have any issues with it. Bouth light settings are bright. And it will light up my bedroom, as it lights up a big area (not a spotligth). I have looked on the marked for a good light, and this was what i bought. It was between this and Milwaukee. As I have bouth battery platforms. The Milwaukee wansnt as bright. My use is for car repairs and other stuff around the house.

I have the previous model ( same number but series 1 ) where that one is 500lm on max, this one is 1000lm so twice as bright. Abbey Power are selling it for less money this series 2 than most are selling the series 1 for. Great build quality but then I am a little biased as I always buy DeWalt gear and usually from Abbey Power. I would highly recommend this product and the supplier.
