Good above 50mg. Needs recalibration for UK
I have 3 of this type of scale & also calibration weights.
They all work extremely well for the price but have their limitations.
1) The older model does not work with NiMH batteries, but
the newer E-fast scales are fine.
2) It looks as if the scales were calibrated somewhere with a lower value of g, probably China, so expect maybe 0.2-0.4 % error if you are in UK and don't have access to calibration masses.
3) None of the scales can be used for masses less than 50mg. At 50mg, the displayed value is sometimes correct, but often is out by 10mg (so 0.04 or 0.06 displayed) and occasionally does not register at all (0.00 displayed).
Having found this was true for the 200g version, I expected the 100g variant to do better: it was exactly the same so the 100g version seems to be a waste of money: buy the 200g version.
Trying 40mg was hit and miss: rarely was 40mg shown, but often 0.00. or some intermediate value.
20mg tests seldom recorded anything, although the older model occasionally read the correct value.
4) Otherwise in the range of 100g - 0.05g or 200g - 0.05g, these scales seem extraordinarily good for the price. Very linear and accurate.
